Christmas time!

Well it's been a long time since my last post so I thought I would write about our plans for this next week and some of the fun family things we have had going on the last little while! This post will probably be pretty boring! I haven't been taking my camera with me lately I need to start taking it!

Where do I start? The last time I posted and told everyone that Carl has decied to go to school this next semester! He is still trying to decide what he REALLY wants to do...at first it was for sure welding and fabricating but after we found out that they might not have the night program for the next four years soooo then he played around with the idea of maybe becoming a police officer and doing POST and all that fun stuff....well after talking to my dad who is a police officer he has decided that he doesn't know for sure if that is the best thing to do. In my opinion I like the whole cop thing I've grown up with my dad doing it and police officers are always going to be around so there is some kind of job security in that and he would get great benifits but on the other hand I think that I might be worried about him all the time and that would stress me out! So we will see what he decides to do...he is still going to be taking gen eds next semester until he decides!

I finished school on the 17th I had two finals and they both were pretty easy! I'm still kind of back and forth on what I want to do with myself next semester so right now I am looking at my options and will probably just be taking classes to finish up my associates until I decide! I hate being grown up and making these decisions can I just tell everyone that! A while ago I was looking into esthetician school...well after calling around to some spas and Dr. offices I decided that might not be the best move right now with how the economy is at the moment. So now I am looking into doing more with dental assisting or the surgical tech program at SLCC.

The past weekend we have had a lot of fun with Carl's family! Friday night we had a party at the apartments club house that Melanie Carl's mom lives at and we had a lot of fun! We kind of started a little tradition of drawing names and doing gifts that way which I thinks works out great seeing that there are so many people. We had dinner and watched Reid play with the karaoke machine with all the little kids it was pretty funny! It was really fun to get together and spend time with everyone!

Saturday we headed to Provo to have luch with Carl's Grandma and his aunt Dion and uncle Bruce who are here visiting from California. We met at Grandma Sarah's favorite place....Chuck- a - rama....it was fun to visit with those guys we don't get to see Dion and Bruce or even Grandma very often so it was nice to get together and chit chat and have lunch!

As for Christmas eve we are heading to my grandparents house for dinner and to open a few gifts and hang out with my family. Christmas moring we are having breakfast with my dad's side of the family at my parents house then that night we will be heading back over to my mom's side for our big danish dinner that we do every year and somewhere in between all of that we will make time to go visit with Carl's dad!That is our plan for this next week! We have fun the last few weeks getting ready for all of this madness! Thanks to everyone for this weekend it was fun! Im sure the next time I post it will no longer be 2009!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Well folks we have some BIG news....

Well I am VERY proud to say that my husband is now a college student!! Yep that's right he will be registering for classes in January and we are both very excited! He was telling me last night that he wished he would have started college sooner than now...but things happen and he is happy to finally be going now! Originally we just went in to talk to an advisor about what classes he would need to take and to see which programs he wanted to do and all that fun stuff....well she told us he could apply for admission right then so we went ahead and did just that.....and well he is officially a college student. Carl is so excited to start learning something that he has always wanted to do and that makes me super happy! He totally deserves to do something he has a passion for!
The program he decided on has night classes so he will still be able to work full time and go to school...with him doing the night classes the program will be twice as long because the classes are only half the time as the day classes...that's the only negative. His program will start next fall so while he is waiting for that time to come he will be working on his generals.

I L.O.V.E. this month soooo much!

WARNING...this is a little bit of a vent session

You see well we are very boring people as of late.

I feel like we don't have lives outside of work and school.

Nothing and I mean NOTHING exciting has happened to us lately.

I wish I had some exciting news to break to everyone buttt I don't.

I wish i had something to look forward.

I feel stuck like my life has hit the pause button and I can't hit play.

I don't know what I want to do with my life.

I do know that I want to be done with school in the next year or so.

I know that after school I want to start a family.

That brings me to...what do I actually what to study in school?

Stick it out for radiology?

Esthetician school?

Sometimes I feel like giving up and not doing anything but...that is NOT an option!

A new job?

A looooong vacation?

Who knows what I need to get me out of this stupid mood and over this what seems to be HUGE hump in the road for me...but I do know I need something and I need it soon!

In other happier news....

This girl is getting MARRIED and I can't wait only 86 more days!!!!

She was my maid or honor and I am so excited to be returning the favor!!

She is one on my besties and I am so happy for her!

One year...better late than never right?

Well on the 13th we celebrated our one year anniversary! It was so much fun we started the weekend off by waking up Friday morning and heading to Vegas! We had a few friends come with us and it was a blast we had sooo much fun! We got to Vegas Friday afternoon and went straight to in and out yummm! We checked in to the condo, relaxed for a bit and got ready for the night. That night we went to Margaritaville (sooo yummy) to get some amazing margarita's and then just walked around the strip and played the penny slots until Ash and Andy got there then we all went to dinner at Planet Hollywood and hung out the rest of the night. Saturday morning we woke up after sleeping in for a bit and went to breakfast. Then Saturday afternoon we went shopping, and Saturday night we went to a place called Dick's for dinner it was so much fun the whole point of this place was for the waiters and waitresses to be "DICKS" and it was sooo funny our girl was awesome and made it so much fun! She was making fun of Carl and our friend Andy so much it was cracking us up! She made them wear these hats she made out of paper and Carl's said "I did gay porn to pay for this trip and I'm not happy about it!" and Andy's was pretty gross so I wont write that one! That night we went out to the strip and hung out until 3 in the morning it was such a fun trip!!! Thanks for coming with us guys! Well Sunday morning we woke up and left Vegas around ten we got back to salt lake around seven after all the stops we made. Carl and I pulled the cake out and did the whole cake top tradition that night since we didn't want to take the cake to Vegas with us!

I can't believe that in less than 6 days we will have been married for 1 YEAR it has been the best year of our lives!!!! I love being married to my husband he is the best guy in the world and I couldn't imagine being married to anyone else! We are going to have a fun little weekend so i will post pictures of our adventures next week!

Whats new?

Well it's been a while since our last post...we have a bit to catch up on...first of all we have just been enjoying our summer having fun going camping, having bbq's with family and friends, bought a new car, went rafting,went to a family reunion, celebrated birthdays, working on the house and yard, and just enjoying this nice sun!


Well first off we bought a new car about a month ago now! It's a 2008 mazda 3 hatchback it's super cute and so fun to drive! Carl was a little sad at first to get rid of his precious truck but now he is realizing that in the end it will be better for us! This is what it looks like...

Other than buying a new car we went to my family reunion in Ferron the first weekend in August and it was so much fun I always love seeing everyone and haning out with all the cousins! We spent most of our time on the four wheelers and the boat! We went to the top of the mountain on a ride and it ended up being about 70 miles all together! Here are some picture of that fun weekend it's always a blast!

After we came home form the reunion we came home and celebrated my 21st BIRTHDAY!!! We got some friends together and went to dinner at The Bayou it was soooo yummmy and it was fun to have some friends there that i hadn't seen in a long time! I got great gifts, and a bunch of my favorite flowers and a silly card from my parents who were in Sturgis! Thanks everyone it was so much fun!

I also got invited to go to the Kenny Chesney concert with my cousin Kirstine and we had a blast! He is so amazingly HOT hahaha we had fun dacing around, singing, and talking to the drunk cowboy's and there moms? or cougar girlfreinds? We dont really know what they were haha but thanks again bean i had soooo much fun!

The next thing on the list is the house and yard...on man the yard i feel like this is a never ending battle! We have killed weeds and added cute little stone blocks in front and as for the house we have just been adding little things here and there we painted the shutters and hung some lights on the sides of the garage and small little things like that here are a few pictures.....the pics of the inside of the house are from a YEAR ago when we first moved in so there is not a thing in the house yet and yes i know my house is very colorful....what can i say I LOVE COLOR love love love!

Well thats about it so far i promise i wont wait this long to post agian!

It's been a loooong time....

Since my last post! Sorry about that (not that anyone reads this anyway!) but we have been SUPER busy lately with our vacations and work and the house and everything in between! I don't know where to even start.....lets see ummm well the first weekend in June we went to LAKE POWELL my favorite place EVER! We left Thursday afternoon and got to the lake at like 9:00 that night so the plan was to camp out on the beach at lone rock....yeah right...we got there and it was soooo packed there was no place to set up two tents and park the trailer and the boat so we ended up just a little bit up the road at the camp ground...which in the end was a great little place and there was no more than two or three people in that campground the entire time we were there! The weather was ok not the best but we still had a great trip! Round two in September hopefully!
The next adventure we took was to DISNEYLAND with Carl's family...the next weekend! Our flight was suppose to leave at like 5:00 on Thursday but since we had such crappy weather that whole week our flight was delayed until 6:20 so we hung out at the airport and finally we made it to the Long Beach airport at around 7:40 ish I think something like that....It was sooo much fun both Carl and I hadn't been to Disneyland for a LONG time and were so happy Carl's aunt invited us! We love hanging out with Carl's family since it we don't get see them as much as we would like but we loved every minute of the whole trip! Thanks again Melanie for taking us to the airport! I have more pictures but lost my cord for my camera so when I find it I will post them but for now here is a picture of the group!

We have been doing a lot to the yard the last few weeks which if I may say is the biggest pain in the butt! I hate all of the stupid weeds we have in our flower beds and I hate how many flower beds I have! I have decided to kill EVERYTHING in them so that next year I can start nice and fresh! Carl has been wanting to put a fire pit in the backyard and we are finally going to start doing that (now that he has burnt a hole in the grass from having fires in the pit by just setting it on the grass) hahaha and we are going to be cutting down one huge tree and part of our cherry tree....Axle seems to love to eat the cherries that fall on the ground and spit out the pits in a pile on the patio! Makes for one smelly beagle! The two dogs are getting along great now...at first they weren't so nice to each other but now they are great Axle even protects Lola when other big dogs bark at her on walks! He puts his butt right in front of her and bumps her to the side it's cute! We are loving this warm weather FINALLY and have just been taking advantage of it the last couple weeks with all of the above and a few boating trips! From now on I will try and keep the blog up to date and post the pictures from Powell and Disneyland and maybe a few pics of what the house looks like now! I'm excited to have a weekend off of work this weekend and excited to celebrate the 4th with our friends and family!

P.S. Carl has been texting me all morning and insists that we NEED to move to HAWAII and I think he is being serious....haha

Today is the day...

The day we get to bring home the new little pup! I can't wait...she got her last deworming shots and the vet says she is good to come home now! We are driving to bountiful to pick up the new family member who will be know as little miss LOLA tonight after carl gets home from work!!!! YAY i can't wait for everyone to meet her!

P.S. I wil be posting loads of pictures now that i have found my usb cable that has been lost since we moved into our house!

Struggles

Today has not been the best day...i feel like the people i thought were my friends just don't care anymore...i hate that people use me being married as an excuse to not hang out with me....i feel like now that i stand up for myself and not let people walk all over me that now those exact same people who told me that i needed to voice my feeling more and stand up for myself are now the ones who are getting mad that i am putting my feelings out there and totally taking advantage of the things they know hurt...is there any win win in this? I feel like some of the most important people that were in my life just don't care anymore...I hate that i let what people say affect me soooo much! I hate that ALL of the friends i thought would be there through the hardest times of my life have just given up....is there something wrong with me why are these people who say they are my "best friends" acting like they don't even care...I'm so hurt but three people that meant sooooo much to me. Why do people say things they know will hurt you....why do they get mad because you tell them your feelings....I don't understand how you can come out and say something to someone that you know is hurting them...This whole situation has made me realize i need to reevaluate some things.

IRRITATING...

A few things that have REALLY been irritating me this last little while....



1. People who say they are your "friends" but only invite you to things because they mentioned something in front of you and now don't want you to confront them so they invite you when they just ignore you anyway...really don't invite me then!



2. People who don't take responsibility for the things they have brought on themselves.



3. Stupid drivers.



4. Once again so called "friends" who say things right in front of you to try and make you jealous....your just making yourself look retarded!



5. People who don't try and involve themselves in conversation and pout in corners while EVERYONE else is having fun and they get mad because they say they get ignored...ummm HELLLOOO you are the one who shuts yourself off and barricades yourself in the corner....



6. People who lie about what they are doing....



7. When people tell you they will do something then don't keep their word.



8. People who come to my house who i have never ever met in my life and do things i specifically ask them NOT to do 8 million times....then of course I turn into the b***ch and no one likes me for it....oh well don't disrespect my things and i wont be rude....



9. People who ALWAYS no matter what it is try to one up you and can't figure out who they really are so they copy you and say they know exactly who they are as a person but really the person who they say they are is just a retarded version of the person they are pretending to be.

(it makes sense in my head sorry if i lost ya lol)



10. When you try and help someone out and they are totally inconsiderate and rude...

(The other day we were at the store with our friend Andrew, and my brother Zach and we leave the store to go back to our house and we are stopped at a stop light and we hear this crash sound so i look out the window and there is a man and a lady on the ground along with a motorcycle so we pull over and all get out well another car of young guys stop also we help this guy get his bike up off his wife, whose legs is cut up pretty bad and cant walk on it...so we help her and Zach calls the cops so he is on the phone and the other kid is like are you all ok and the RUDE guy goes i was fine until you guys started calling the police and I say nicely well that's what you usually do when there is an accident and the guy goes it wasn't an accident (in a VERY rude tone) and I was like well your wife is hurt pretty bad and he rolled his eyes! So the cops got there and we left....honestly i wanted to say you should be grateful we even pulled over to help you! but i didn't i kept my cool it just really erked my chain!)





WOW! I feel soooo much better now! Sorry about the venting I just had to get that all out....

We're expecting!

Yep thats right we are expecting.....now Im sure you are all thinking that we are pregnant right about now but....we are NOT! No human babe's yet hahaha we are bringing home this cutie though! She is our new little beagle puppy and is only a week old as of right now and will be ready to leave her mommy and come to our house on May 31st! She is sooooooo cute and such a sweetheart I can't wait for ax to the max to meet her!

Sooooo as far as names go we were thinking pedal, penny, or lola....what do you guys think??? help me out here I lovvvveeee all three names and since Carl got to pick Axle i get to name her! Im so excited i cant even stand it!

BIG PLANS....

So we did our taxes about....mmmm almost three months ago now and we still haven't seen ANYTHING yet kind of annoying if you ask me! Especially because WE Carl and I have BIG BIG PLANS with this money....

The only problem...our ceilings are really low...so who knows what will happen maybe so nice track lighting or can lights....

We bought a new doorbell, and we still very much need a new mailbox....these are all things I would like to buy with our tax returns WHEN they get here!

I don't know why the last few lines of my last post are bold and I have tried everything that I know....so oh well we will deal with it I guess...

6 Months

Friday

was our six months! Can you believe we've made it this far?? lol So Carl was in Las Vegas last week for a Vacuum Convention and came home Friday just in time to celebrate! I asked him Thursday night what he wanted to do to celebrate and he just kept saying i don't know....i don't know i just want to come home....so he was a lot of help! So i decided that we would just make a nice dinner. So after I picked him up we headed to the store to get steaks and made yummmmy yummy steaks, garlic mashed potatoes and a salad....This has to be my most favorite meal in the world! We had planned at first to just stay at home and hang out the two of us since we hadn't seen each other for 3 days lol but then we got a call from some friends to come over and have poker night....so both decided that we didn't want to just sit around and Adam and Nikki had invited us over a number of times and we still hadn't gone over to their place that it would be fun! So we showered got ready and headed to their house! It was a lot of fun I'm glad we decided to go hang out!

Saturday

So Saturday we decided that we would have an us day because we ended up going out Friday night....so we woke up cleaned the house a bit then went to lunch at Cafe Rio (mmmmm).

Then later that night we got a bunch of friends together and went bowling! I love bowling but after the 2nd game or so i get burnt out and can't handle it anymore! It was pretty funny Carl and a lot of the kids we hang out with on the weekends ride bmx and so it was cool that they ran into an old bmx friend Carl really enjoyed that! All in all it was a super fun night and thanks to all the cool kids that came with us and the ones we met there! lol

We had a blast this weekend and i can't believe its already been six months! It really feels like we were married only a short few months ago not 6 months ago! I can't wait for the many many more years we have to spend with each other! Carl is my best friend and the love of my life he means everything in the world to me!

Birthday weekend...

So this weekend we celebrated Carl's birthday...Friday night we went out to dinner at Red Rock ( soooo yummy!) with Andrew and Natalie then we went and got ice cream and went home and hung out! Then on Saturday we had a birthday party at Chuky Cheese for our nieces and what can i say that was a BLAST....hahahah well for the younger kids that is! So after chucky cheese we had some friends over and hung out which was pretty fun! Sunday my parents invited us over for ribs and twice baked potato's...Carl's favorite things that my family makes...then we ended with blueberry pie! I hope Carl had a good time this weekend and I can't wait to spend the rest of his birthdays with him! I appreciate everything he does for me! He is such an amazing husband! I love you soooo much!!!

So these last few weeks have been super busy! I have been getting back into school mode and Carl has been super busy at work learning all his new things. We have been planning a trip to Las Vegas with Megan and Reid (carls sister and her hubby) that we are sooooo excited for! We CAN'T wait to just get away even if it is just for a weekend! I can't wiat to go shopping and just hang out and have so much fun! Only 24 more days!!!

School & Work

Ok so after taking this last semester off from school i am FINALLY going back! YAY!! Yes i am very excited to be back in school...the only reason i took last semester off was because of the wedding....and now that's done and over with i am going back and i can't wait! After all the wedding stuff was over with and we came home from our honeymoon i had so much time and nothing to do....it got really old really fast!! So now my days will be full i will work and go to school! Oh wait and did i mention that im taking classes with morgan....it just so happens that we both needed the same classes! Carl is also expecting some pretty big changes here soon...the company that he works for is growing bigger and for the last several months they have been building a new bigger warehouse....he has been with this company for about 6 or 7 years now and has had great opportunities to move around. Starting at the end of the month he will be training to be manager....he will be doing sales, parts ordering, making sure everyone else is doing what they supposed to and many other exciting things...which comes with an increase in money!!! I'm so proud of Carl he is such a hard worker! I think life is going to get just a little bit crazier starting here soon but I'm looking forward to having things to keep me busy!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Buying a house, and car, growing up!

9. What was your biggest failure? Taking school off this semester...does that count?

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nothing major

11. What was the best thing you bought? Our house by farrrrr!

12. Where did most of your money go? HOUSE!!

13. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Getting engaged, getting married, having our own house, going to Hawaii!
